Adrian ‘AGE’ Sandoval

When AGE was 22 years of age he was facing time in the prison system. Joining a gang at 16 years of age he lived the lifestyle of gang banging and lowriding. He was involved with gang related crimes all across the Denver CO metro area until one day he and another were caught in the act of burglarizing million dollar homes in Douglas County. Arrested at gun point AGE was booked on various charges. There in a holding cell, AGE called out to God asking, “If your real up there, please change me. Come into my life and make me new.” At that moment AGE felt this peace come upon him and all the weight lifted off his shoulders.


-BAIL

AGE was bonded out thanks to his caring parents who put their newly purchased property up on collateral. While being picked up by his parents AGE’s younger brother Aaron ‘FLOW’ Sandoval was with them. AGE told FLOW that he no longer wants to do gang related things other than tell Gang Members how God had changed him while locked up. FLOW at the same said I want to do the same. They were both influenced by rival gangs at that time and that moment changed when they both decided to make a difference.


-Preachas in tha Hood

This birthed the Gospel Rap influenced group ‘Preachas in Tha hood. AGE had not a clue how to spit rhymes. FLOW said, “don’t worry about. I’ll teach you how.” In 1994 Preachas in Tha hood was born. With many song recordings to follow Preachas in Tha hood was one of the most talked about Rap Groups in Colorado. In 1997 they signed a major nationwide record contract with Graptree Records. Releasing music that would “REACH THE WORLD” their second released album titled ‘Tears of a Gangsta’ was nominated for Gospel Rap/Hiphop/Dance album of the year in the year 1999. PITH had many opportunities and traveled the world performing songs, sharing testimonies of how their lives changed as well as spear headed many community driven projects that would change lives of youth and adults. Linking up with Prison Fellowship, Youth for Christ, Dare 2 Share and many more ministry/organizations they made a tremendous impact. For over 20+ years once a month PITH would go into youth detention facilities Sharing their music and testimonies encouraging inmates to make a life change. Traveling and performing at Community events, City and County events, churches, schools, prisons and more PITH would leave an impact everywhere they went. Even to this day you can find them all over the internet. Just google ‘Preachas in Tha hood.’ 

There is speculation that ‘Preachas in Tha hood’ is going to release a single that all their listeners can enjoy. Although not officially retired from the music AGE & FLOW still have passion and desire to make music. 



-Today

Today AGE is has been married for 25 years and is a Ordained Elder with Free Methodist Church. He is a systems thinker and Developer by gifts. With the call of Evangelism AGE has a heart and passion to evangelize the Gospel and see lives changed and touched. Also with a wealth of knowledge ranging from Community Leadership/Development, grant writing knowledge, developing leadership in the local church, non profit and program management startups and more to name a few allows AGE to steer any meeting or engagement in the direction of the organization/church who wants to bring him in. AGE has planted three Churches called ‘THA MYX’ and has seen them flourish. AGE currently travels speaking and sharing his life and offering opportunities for others to make a life changing decision.
